Day 1 & 2
Well folks, what can I say... The first day of the tournament was a real rollercoaster.
After a shaky start with a few bumps along the way, we managed to pull ourselves together and take the first match as a team. In the next two games, we really hit our stride – totally dominant performances and seriously strong darts!
But in the fourth match, we unfortunately came up short. And in the losers’ bracket, we immediately ran into a very strong team that, to be honest, had the edge on us. That wrapped up Day 1 of the tournament for us.
But hey: new day, new luck!
With a solid warm-up and some sharp darts, Basti and I kicked off Day 2 – and what a start it was! We fought hard in the first match and came out on top with a close 2:1 win. The second match went even better: a clear victory, confidently played from start to finish. In the third match, we hit a bit of a slump and lost narrowly 2:1 – which put us back in the consolation bracket.
There, we faced another really tough opponent. Despite giving it our all, we lost that one too, 2:1, and that meant we were out of the 501 Master Out doubles tournament.
But: heads up, we keep going!
Tomorrow, we go again – with full focus, sharp instincts, and a big dose of passion.
