PARADART - AN INTRODUCTION
Paradart is a special darts discipline that focuses on inclusion and participation for players with physical disabilities. Although paradart is still in its infancy in Bavaria and Germany as a whole, this variant of darts offers an excellent opportunity to overcome barriers and make the sport accessible to everyone. It's important to emphasize that not every paradart player is automatically wheelchair-bound—the range of physical disabilities is wide.

Who are Paradarters?
General information
Para darts is still in its infancy in Bavaria and Germany. Inclusion in darts would be easy, as not every para dart player is wheelchair-bound.
Who are Paradarters?
Paradarters are players with physical limitations that affect their throw or stance. There are two categories:
• Classic: For players with defined physical limitations, including wheelchair users. The limitation must be confirmed by a medical certificate on the official World ParaDarts Medical Assessment Form.
• Inclusion: For players with other disabilities. A severely disabled person's ID card, a letter from the social security office, or a medical WPD Inclusion certificate is sufficient.
Rules and special features
The rules are the same as those for regular darts tournaments. Wheelchair players may optionally play on a lower board height (1.37 m), although the oche may need to be adjusted. Details can be found in the DDV Sports Regulations (§94 ff).
Further information
All necessary WPD forms and current information on tournaments and rules are available on the World ParaDarts homepage.
registration
If you want to compete in national or even international tournaments as a para-darter, you must register with the WPD. Simply fill out the appropriate form and submit it to the WPD along with your medical certificates. The fee is £5.
